On September 15, 2014, the NCAFP's Forum on Asia-Pacific Security (FAPS), hosted a panel discussion on U.S.-China relations at the Harvard Club in New York to address the following questions:
- Is the recent downturn in U.S.-China relations a temporary blip in a relationship with many ups and downs, or an ominous trend for the future?
- What are our common interests and how can we build on these interests while managing our differences?
- What are the prospects for future events in U.S.-China relations, such as the Obama-Xi summit at APEC?
