This was a public event featuring Ambassador Ibrahim Gambari, Joint Special Representative, African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), Ambassador Tete Antonio, Permanent Observer of the African Union to the United Nations, and Ambassador Gerald W. Scott, Africa Area Advisor for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, Former Ambassador to the Republic of the Gambia.

The event was moderated by Ambassador Herman J. Cohen, former Assistant Secretary of State for Africa in the Administration of President George H.W. Bush (1989-1993), and senior adviser for African Governance at the World Bank. Currently, Ambassador Cohen is President of Cohen and Woods International and Project Director of the NCAFP's Africa Project.
