Dr. Scharia is a legal expert, top counterterrorism lawyer, and the only Israeli national serving in a senior security position within the U.N. Secretariat. Prior to his role at the United Nations, Dr. Scharia served as the Israeli attorney general's lead lawyer for counterterrorism cases before the Israeli Supreme Court.
