The NCAFP’s Forum on Asia-Pacific Security (FAPS) hosted a workshop to highlight the policy analysis and recommendations of next-generation Korean Peninsula security specialists. Over the last six months, the ten emerging leaders from all over the world met virtually for professional skills workshops, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and peer review sessions, covering topics from the North Korean nuclear challenge, US alliance management, broader regional cooperation, and major power competition.
To conclude the workshop, each emerging leader met with FAPS Project Director, Susan A. Thornton, to discuss their research topic and policy recommendations in a new podcast series. The NCAFP is pleased to share with you at least 9 podcast episodes in this series (available below), and hope you find them of great interest. Finally, on December 15, the NCAFP will publish an edited volume, “Next Generation Korean Peninsula Specialists,” compiled of the emerging leaders’ policy papers on the same topics.
