Following the NCAFP's Cyber Panel, two of the panelists, Melissa Hathaway, President, Hathaway Global Strategies, LLC, and Senior Advisor, Cyber Security Project, Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard University, and John N. Stewart, Senior Vice President, and Chief Security and Trust Officer, Cisco, accompanied an NCAFP delegation to brief officers and cadets at the United States Military Academy.
The visit was orchestrated with the cooperation
of the Army Cyber Institute and Dr. Aaron F. Brantly, Assistant Professor of International Relations and Cyber in the Department of Social Sciences, USMA, Cyber Policy Fellow at the Army Cyber Institute, and Cyber Fellow at the Combating Terrorism Center. Additional members of the NCAFP delegation included Ambassador Rosemary A. DiCarlo (ret.), NCAFP President; Edythe Holbrook, NCAFP Vice President and Trustee; NCAFP members Jonathan Conrad, David P. Hunt and Igor Kharkov; and Stephen Whittaker, NCAFP Program Coordinator.
Highlights of the day included a briefing and exchange of ideas with members of the Army Cyber Institute Staff, including ACI Deputy Director Fernando Maymí; lunch in the West Point mess with a number of cadets; USMA faculty meetings; and a Q&A session with a class of cadets.
