The NCAFP Celebrates its first Virtual Gala!

On November 17th, 2020 the NCAFP held its first ever Virtual Gala, honoring the work and legacy of Hans J. Morgenthau and presenting his namesake award to Dr. Robert M. Gates, former Secretary of Defense.

Dr. Gates joins a long list of iconic and accomplished individuals who have received this prestigious award including Margaret Thatcher, General Colin Powell, and most recently, U.S. President-Elect, Joe Biden.

Ms. Jacqueline Adams, Emmy Award winning CBS News correspondent and the evening's emcee, held an in-depth and robust question and answer session with Dr. Gates following his awarding.

Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from Dr. Henry A. Kissinger, Former Secretary of State, and past recipient of the Hans J. Morgenthau award. Dr. Kissinger spoke of Morgenthau's significant contributions to American foreign policy and congratulated Dr. Gates on his own accomplishments and contributions to the field.

The National Committee on American Foreign Policy would like to extend its warmest thanks and deepest gratitude to all those who attended and supported
the great success of our first Virtual Gala!
