In 2014, the NCAFP held two Track 1.5 conferences, on a trilateral with representatives from the U.S., China and Japan, and the second a quadrilateral with participants from those three countries plus South Korea in an effort to address the causes of the tensions and to explore ways to east them. The seven papers included in this edited volume are the result.
