On December 1, 2014, Ambassador Richard Morningstar and Dr. Faith Morningstar discussed their experience living and working in Azerbaijan, highlighting their views on U.S. policy challenges, options and prospects in the Caucasus and the Caspian Region, the level of interests and prioritization in D.C. relative to our long-term strategic interests, and opportunities for the role of women in Azerbaijan. Specifically, Dr. Morningstar talked about two women's empowerment initiatives she launched while in the country: 100 Business women of Azerbaijan, a network of women entrepreneurs; and Azerbaijani Women's Development, a network of women working across a range of fields to empower women and girls throughout the country.
