William J. Flynn

 

William J. Flynn, current chairman of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, received the National Committee's first Initiative for Peace Award in 1997. It was given to him for his decisive leadership and daring diplomacy in spurring two cease-fires and promoting the peace process in Northern Ireland.
